The Way of the Peaceful Hold'em Deck

Inner peace. Outer silliness. Perfect Texas Hold'em.

High atop Maple Hill, Master Kenji teaches the ancient discipline of the crane: patience, focus, and not giggling when Mochi the cat knocks all the Hold'em cards off the table again. It is a path of serenity, snacks, and superbly shuffled poker decks. Free, in your browser.

Master Kenji

Has achieved total inner peace, except when someone bends a card corner. Then he breathes deeply and forgives instantly. Then mentions it for weeks. His Texas Hold'em stare is legendary.

๐Ÿฑ

Mochi

The dojo cat. Technically a student. Attains enlightenment instantly, then forgets it chasing a leaf. Has knocked over 4,000 poker cards and regrets nothing.

๐Ÿข

Shigeru the Turtle

The slowest card handler in dojo history. Every Hold'em hand he deals is a journey. Every game is a saga. Somehow, he never seems to mind losing track.

"The crane does not rush the Hold'em shuffle. The crane does not panic when the cat sits on the deck. The crane simply begins again."โ€” Master Kenji, probably making eye contact with Mochi
"..."โ€” Shigeru, mid-thought, holding the 3 of clubs

"The deck is patient. The deck is kind. The deck is currently under Mochi."

Questions From the Training Mat

Is any actual martial arts skill required?

None whatsoever. The most physical activity in the dojo is bowing to your Hold'em opponent before a game, and even that's optional if your knees disagree.

How much does training cost?

The path of the crane is free, always. No tuition, no belts required โ€” just open your browser and begin. Master Kenji wouldn't have it any other way.

Will Mochi sit on my lap?

Mochi sits where Mochi pleases. This is not a warning. It is a promise.
